I'm torn about buying this book - it would simply provide a few lines in the current work-in-progress and maybe a setting description - but it sounds fascinating in its own right, beyond research. I'll give it some thought!
If it helps, I thought the author’s great strength was visually building the world of these scribes and other craftspeople, so it may well help with your WIP. But even just for a window into this aspect of medieval industry, it’s a great book.

I ordered it from my local indie bookstore. 3 weeks to a month to get it (that suggests no North American distributor right now) but I'm patient.
I’m about to do a course with Sara so I am very interested to see your review. Thank you for sharing it.
Ooh what’s the course? She was so incredibly knowledgeable about book making.
Making medieval manuscripts.
That makes sense! I hope you have a wonderful time.
