Yes feeling very much in-between seasons here and expect to be for some time. I find the transition to spring ebbs and flows for a long time, perhaps the earth requires a lot of energy to make the shift from rest to growth (like many of us!). I vividly remember learning about Beowulf in primary school, perhaps the beginning of historical story love xx

We are getting daffodils at the end of January now. By March 20 the flowers are shriveled, and the equinox still days away!

Just here to say I’m thoroughly enjoying your posts! It reminded me how I used to be so obsessed with those funny ‘Horrible Histories’ books as a kid.

Where I live in Australia, we feel the seasons pretty intensely. It’s summer, and lately it’s felt so humid. The change of the seasons here can feel very sudden.

I love Horrible Histories too: I used to teach in primary school and shared them as an accessible (and funny!) way into history.

Ah yes, Australian weather...! I am a New Zealander originally so remember fondly looking at the weather forecasts and the insane Australian heat.
